Labor & Employment GENDER DISCRIMINATION If you have been denied employment, promotions or medical benefits to which you are eligible and are a single, pregnant or working mother, you may be a victim of gender discrimination. Laura L. Davenport will perform a comparative study of how male employees are and have been treated to identify patterns of discrimination. This includes review of job descriptions, performance evaluations, pay increases, and past patterns and practices of the employer. It is illegal to discriminate against someone based upon their gender under Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act. Gender discrimination may be overt, as in something a supervisor says or does, or it may be more subtle, as in policies and procedures of pay and/or promotion that unfairly discriminate against women. Contact Laura Davenport to determine whether you have a viable claim of gender discrimination. |
